Recap:
The X Factor begins and Simon, Paula, L.A., and Cheryl get settled in their seats to await the oncoming talent that will hopefully be able to get the $5 Million contract that will change the life of someone. They get into the auditorium and wait for the first contestant. First up to try is 13-year-old Rachel Crow. She is asked what she will do with the money and she says that she will get a bathroom for herself. She sings and is amazing! Paula says that she was amazing and that she has it. Cheryl says that she was sold from the beginning. L.A. says that she was great. Simon says that she is the reason as to why they wanted a lower age. She gets into the next round with no problem.

After this, there are a number of singers that show that they have the talent to get through and show the judges something they haven’t seen before. Next to perform is Siameze Floyd. He says that he would put the money back into his career. He sings and has energy as he bounces around the stage. Cheryl is confused from it and Simon says that it is a copycat act. However, he says that there is something there. However, L.A. doesn’t see it. Paula, Cheryl and Simon all say yes to Siameze and put him through to Boot Camp despite what L.A. thinks.

Next up to sing are Dan and Venita, a duo. Dan is 70 years old and Venita is 83 years old. They attempt to sing and they are not good at all. Simon says that it was terrifying. Paula says that it is good for them to sing to one another. Cheryl says that it was sweet, but doesn’t agree that it would be good for the show. L.A. says that they need to sing, but only to themselves. They vote and it is a no fort them. Dan and Venita thank the judges and walk off the stage away from their dream. Afterward, a line of horrible singers come to the stage and the judges have a hard time trying to get to the end of each song.

Next is Simone Battle. She has the attitude of a star and starts singing. It is alright. Simone says that she is determined to be good. Cheryl says that there is something there to grow with. L.A. says that it didn’t excite him at all. Simon is stunned and has her sing without the music for a second. However, after the audition, he still in not impressed. They put it to a vote and Simon, Paula and Cheryl vote her through to the next round.

The acts continue on a streak of auditions where Simon and L.A. don’t see eye to eye on the talent. Hoping to get them to agree is Stacey Francis. She is 42 years old and says that she was told that she shouldn’t do it because of her age. She sings “Natural Woman” by Aretha Franklin and blows it out of the water! The judges give her a standing ovation and L.A. says that she made the hairs stand up. Paula says that her time is now. Cheryl says that she was blown away. Simon says that it was the best auditions of all time. It is an easy yes.

The stage is moved to Seattle and Nicole Scherzinger replaces Cheryl Cole. First up to perform is Geo Godley. He comes out and sings an original. However, when he starts to dance, his pants fall off. He flips his “private parts” around. Nicole and Paula turn around and Paula gets up and runs off to the bathroom. She vomits and comes back. L.A. says that he needs to leave. Nicole agrees and says that it was disgusting.

Next up is Marcus Canty. He says that this is his last chance to sing. He starts singing and gets Paula and Nicole to dance around. Afterward, L.A. says that he is like a mini-Bobby Brown. Nicole says that she has been waiting a while for him. Paula says that he lighted up the entire stage when he started singing. Simon says that he reminds him a lot of Usher. The judges say yes to him.
Next up is “The Answer”. They sing “Rolling in the Deep” and do an amazing job with it. L.A. says that they have the X Factor and did a good job. Nicole says that they have it all. Paula says that it was really great. Simon says that it was amazing. They have no problems getting through to Boot Camp and they are excited to have the chance to make it through.

However, this doesn’t continue when Nikki Collins comes on stage. She sings and it is very bad. Nicole says that there were many ranges of registers and Paula says that it sounded like it was a dare and not a real audition. Simon says that she has a horrible voice and that she should never be singing. A range of horrible singers come on next and they are told that they all need to stop singing. Nikki tries for another chance, but is shot down the chance.

Last to audition is Chris Rene. He says that he is a recovering drug addict and that he has gone through a lot. He decides to sing and original and everyone gets into it. Nicole says that he has the X Factor. L.A. says that he has what it takes. Simon says that he did an amazing job on his audition. L.A. says yes on the basis that Chris stays clean and keeps up with his practicing. The other judges say yes as well. That is it for auditions and next week is another city!
